How can i lose 30lbs in 2 months?
So i just started my summer vacation. Soccer season starts soon and i need to get in shape. i constantly worry about my weight but never do anything about it. I am 5’4 and weigh 130 lbs. How can i lose 30 lbs before school starts? I also would like to tone the muscles in my arms but i cant afford a gym membership. what should i do?
Are there any recreational places (i.e. a YMCA, etc) near where you live? You don’t always have to have a membership to use their workout equipment. Try to use a machine that gives a good cardio workout and helps you burn calories, my favorite is the eliptical machine. Also try to alter your diet, but in a way you can live with the rest of your life, not in a way that is so durastic that there is no possible way you can maintain it after you reach your weight goal because then you will gain it back when you resume your former eating habits. Try to do healthy alternatives, don’t take the elevator, take the stairs, ride a bike to a friend’s house rather than getting a ride their if it is in fair biking distance. The thing about gaining muscle and losing weight is that muscle weighs more than fat, so if you focus too much on weight training, you may get great results but because muscle makes you gain weight you may think that your getting the opposite results of what you intended and might then do something durastic. My advice, lose weight, THEN gain muscle after you reach your weight loss goal, otherwise you’ll be going up and down the scale and confused as to whether your getting results. The healthy rate for losing wieght is 1-2 pounds a week. I don’t know if you want to lose thirty pounds though, that seems like alot for someone only weighing 130. I would set a more realistic goal of 15 pounds. Lastly, WATER WATER WATER. Try to drink cold water especially within an hour after waking up, get lots of good sleep, but go to sleep at the same hour and wake up at the same hour everyday otherwise it won’t help your body. Fish Oil pills are good too for losing weight.
